Day 1: Whole30

So, today was day 1 and I did pretty good. I ended up making some tomato sauce from scratch from some diced canned tomatoes I found in the pantry and put that over the chicken to bake it for dinner and it was amazing! I put that over some yellow squash, mmm! My one complaint today was that when I tried to run, my muscles felt like they had no fuel. The book explained that this would happen since my body is used to burning carbs and sugars as fuel and those aren’t an option anymore. Supposedly it will get better soon, we will see! I had to go to Target today and it was torture walking through the cookie aisle! I wanted to devour every box on the shelf! I just kept reminding myself that if it was easy, everybody would be fit and skinny! I am an adult and I decide what I eat! Not my cravings!

Day 2 food:
Breakfast: 2 egg omelet with shrimp, mushrooms, and asparagus (4 eggs was waaaay too much), a little naked green machine juice, and half a grapefruit
Lunch: baked salmon on spring mix salad with cucumbers and avocados, drizzled with balsamic vinegar
Dinner: probably baked chicken with sweet potato and something else, but I’m not sure…

By the way: hubby broke the rules and weighed himself today, he has lost 5lbs in 4 days! Wow!
